Broadacre Tree Investment – Investment Diversification

An investor wanted a tree crop on a lifestyle block which would be both an investment in trees and rural land.

PALS helped the investor find a block suitable for commercial trees within the price range. After the acquisition PALS prepared and planted Tasmanian blue gums on the property. Over the following 10 years PALS managed the property (insurance, firebreaks, silviculture operations and inventory data collation).

The trees were clear felled and the wood exported as woodchips through the port of Bunbury. The trees were tendered out and the client received $7300 per ha after expenses or an average of $730 per ha per annum.
