Die Erzählungen der Großeltern vermitteln die „eine“ historische Wahrheit, Initiatoren von Ausstellungen zeigen selektiv ausgewählte Erinnerungsstücke samt damit verbundener Geschichte und blenden „Randereignisse“ bewusst oder unbewusst aus. Filme sind zwar anschaulich, aber eben eine subjektive Inszenierung durch die Urheber.
Schon in Klasse five muss deutlich werden, dass Geschichte eben nicht als „eindeutig“ charakterisiert werden kann und darf.

Fragt guy LehrerInnen nach den anzustrebenden Zielen im Geschichtsunterricht , wird guy stets unterschiedliche Antworten erhalten. Es fehlt der Konsens, was once die Jugendlichen eigentlich lernen und welche Kompetenzen sie (weiter-)entwickeln sollen. Die Folge ist, dass die Lernenden kein historisch geprägtes Strukturwissen aufbauen können (vgl. Borries 2004: 275). Bildungsstandards und die damit verbundene Konzeption von Kompetenzmodellen als „potentes software der Schulreform“ (Herzog 2008: 395) sollen die Erarbeitung von Basiskonzepten möglich machen, die letztlich in einem challenge- und zielorientierten Unterricht münden können.

Mit diesem textual content werde ich einen Zugang zum Anfangsunterricht in Klasse five erarbeiten und didaktische Hinweise formulieren, um den LehrerInnen eine Hilfestellung anzubieten.
Dafür werde ich zunächst die Ausgangslage der Fünftklässler nach der Grundschule charakterisieren (1.), um dann in diesem Zusammenhang das Prinzip der Problemorientierung erklären zu können (2.). In einem dritten Schritt werde ich verdeutlichen, welche Kompetenzen ein „Historiker“ entwickeln muss und wie guy diese messen kann (3.). Die Systematisierung soll dann an einem Unterrichtsbeispiel sämtliche Thesen zusammenfassen und verdeutlichen.
